Harvey Recovery Fairs help people get on path to recovery
City of Houston Neighborhood Restoration Centers and community partners continue to reach out to people affected by Hurricane Harvey through an ongoing series of Harvey Recovery Fairs. The events are sponsored in partnership with community agencies and are designed to connect people to the services, resources and guidance they need toward full recovery.
The remaining fairs in the series are as follows:
Sat., Dec. 1, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Third Ward Multi-Service Center
3611 Ennis St., Houston, TX 77004
Sat., Dec. 8, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
Marian Community Center
11101 S. Gessner, Houston, TX 77071
Sat., Dec. 15, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.
Deluxe Theatre
3303 Lyons Ave., Houston, TX 77020
Case managers will be on hand to help clients prepare a recovery plan and direct them to participating community agencies that offer the services and resources they need. Agency representatives will inform clients about available services and eligibility requirements and assist them with the completion of applications.
Services offered by participating agencies include help with basic needs and supplies, legal and financial advice, employment programs, mental health care, flood damage repair assistance, and referrals to resources for people with disabilities. Each fair will be staffed by a different group of partnering agencies and services may vary event to event.
Pre-registration is not required. Most agencies require a photo ID, proof of income, and a utility bill for current address and address during Harvey.
