OUR MISSION:

The purpose of the Houston Black Heritage Music & Arts Festival™ is to develop and execute events that support direct services and programs related to health & wellness, financial empowerment, and education. We strive to create opportunities for self-expression in the creative arts: music, poetry, dance, and theater; as well as offer a unique blend of African and African American art, culture and history to the Houston area.

Our existence supports cultural enrichment and diversity within the Houston community by ensuring all events are inclusive of all ethnicities. Ultimately, the goal of the Festival is to foster awareness and to promote the basic premise that people can change communities through love, unity and work.

WHAT:

The Houston Black Heritage Music & Arts Festival™ (HBHMAF) is a one-day cultural event that features speakers, Black exhibits, musicians, artists, poets and craftspeople locally and nationally.
