Here is an overview and goal of Out-2-Learn:
Out-2-Learn network is a collaboration between the Mayor Turner’s Office of Education, Harris County Department of Education’s CASE for Kids, Houston Endowment, and United Way of Greater Houston. Our goal is to improve access to and quality of out-of-school-time programs. Out-2-Learn is looking to schedule formal conversations with school leaders, existing non-profits, families and community leaders to delve deeper into community’s needs and identify gaps in services as it relates to out-of-school-time programs. Central Southwest (specifically 77045) has been identified as an area that could use support. Investments for programming will be made in two to three areas during the second quarter of 2018.
