5 Corners Improvement District Chairman Homer Clark displayed a certificate from U.S. Rep. Al Green, D-Houston, as community members and Houston Police Department officers gathered Tuesday Night (Oct. 3) for National Night Out, an annual day to strengthen bonds between law enforcement officers and the public they help protect.
The District funds private security patrols, anti-dumping surveillance cameras and other public safety projects to encourage not only neighborhood safety (5 Corners is exceptionally safe relative to the entire city!) but also to lay the groundwork for more economic development in the area.
