Congratulations to Texas Southern University on being selected to host the third Democratic Presidential Primary Debate.
Senate District 13 is one of the strongest voting districts in Texas, and we know our district has a huge impact on who gets elected in our state and nation. TSU was founded in 1927 and is one of the nation’s oldest and largest historically black universities. This debate gives our students and young adults the opportunity to hear from the best of the best from the Democratic Party.
TSU sits in the heart of Senate District 13, and I am so proud that a historically black university was selected to host this prestigious and important event. Our nation knows we’re going to impact this election. But, it is up to us to make that happen. Stay active, stay involved and VOTE!
This Wednesday, I will host my second Legislative Town Hall on the 86th Legislative Session at 6 PM at the Hiram Clarke Multi-Service Center. I hope you can join me as I discuss the legislation that was signed into law as well as bills that will impact your neighborhood.
