This is the last week to donate to Operation Backpack. We’re accepting donations of backpacks and school supplies through Friday, August 12. Help children in the Greater Houston area start the school year off right. For a list of supplies and drop-off locations, click here.
Building Brighter Futures – Register Now for After School
The start of school is just a few weeks away. Do you know what your children will be doing when the school day is done? Register them for YMCA After School Care, where they’ll engage in physical, learning and imaginative activities that encourage them to explore who they are and what they can achieve.
They’ll also:
• Participate in interactive learning models that engage critical thinking skills
• Get assistance with their homework from trained YMCA staff
• Have a chance to socialize with each other
• Form long-lasting friendships

Youth sports at the Y encourages each athlete to reach his or her potential through skill refinement, teamwork, and sportsmanship while promoting healthy kids, families, and communities.
A new season of sports including NFL flag football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, t-ball/baseball and more begins this September. Offerings vary by location.
