National Night Out
Thank you again to all the residents who came out to National Night Out! I thoroughly enjoyed joining you at the celebrations at Kashmere Gardens, the Five Points, Brays Oaks, Cloverland Park, Sunnyside and the Quail Run Community Center in Fort Bend.
Wheatley High School Walk Out
Last week, Senator Borris Miles joined the community in support of the students at Wheatley High School. After the student walk-out, he initiated dialogue between HISD administrators, community leaders and parent groups to discuss the community’s concerns and the changes needed.

Job Fair SUCCESS!
Over 1000 Jobs and Internships for SD13!
Senator Borris L. Miles hosted another successful Job Fair at HCC Central, bringing together more than 50 employers directly to the community. In total, Senator Miles hosted three job fairs in Senate District 13, and brought in more than 1000 jobs and internships to students, second-chance seekers and those who wanted a new or better opportunity.
