Join the Museum Experience – Houston’s newest cultural block party! Come out Saturday, April 26 from 11am-6pm to explore the museums of Zone 2: Asia Society Texas Center, Buffalo Soldiers National Museum, Czech Center Museum Houston, DiverseWorks, Holocaust Museum Houston, Houston Museum of African American Culture, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Lawndale Art Center and The Weather Museum.
Take a trip around the world in Zone 2 where you’ll explore some of Houston’s most diverse museums. The first 2,500 visitors will receive a souvenir passport and receive custom stamps at all nine museums. Perfect for all ages, the museums offer a variety of special programming and activities.
We’ll be featuring three food truck “hubs” throughout Zone 2 with an assortment of your favorites. It’s a Wrap! and Sweet Asian Desserts will be at Asia Society Texas Center; Soulcat Cuisine will be at Museum of African American Culture Center; POCKet to Me and Detox will be at Buffalo Soldiers National Museum; and Moon Rooster will be at Lawndale Art Center.
There will also be FREE pedicab rides all day long! Each of the museums will have a dedicated “stop” to get on and off the pedicabs. Just look for the red flag that says Houston Museum District.
