Real estate developers discuss growth opportunities in Southwest Houston
The Hiram Clarke/ Fort Bend Redevelopment Authority hosted its Inaugural Developers’ Networking event at the Community Collective in the 5 Corners Improvement District of Southwest Houston on Thursday, January 19th.
More than 60 developers, real estate brokers, venture capitalists attended the event that featured a discussion moderated by Kevin Riles, commercial real estate broker, with Gwen Tillotson, Deputy Director of the City of Houston Economic Development Division, on current economic initiatives in the City of Houston and how they can be applied to investment opportunities in Southwest Houston. Additional speakers included Courtney Johnson Rose, co-owner of the Community Collective and Vice Mayor Pro Tem and District K Council Member, Martha Castex-Tatum, Chair of the Economic Development Committee for the City of Houston.
“This networking event serves as a launch of a new initiative to engage developers in strategic investment in the 5 Corners Improvement District which includes Historic Hiram Clarke and Fort Bend Houston areas,” George Anderson, Chair of the Economic Development Committee for the Hiram Clarke/Fort Bend Redevelopment Authority said.
