Veterans Day Celebration

 
Join Vice Mayor Pro Tem Castex-Tatum as the City of Houston celebrates Veterans Day Friday, November 11, 2022, at City Hall. There will be a 21-gun salute beginning at 10:00 AM. We will join local Veteran organizations, ROTCS and Junior ROTCs, bands and others in the American Heroes Parade which will begin at 11:30 AM. The parade route will start at Dallas St. and Bagby St., proceed east on Dallas St., north on Louisiana St., west on Walker St., south on Smith St., west on Lamar St., and end on Lamar St. at Bagby St.
The parade is open to the public and all are welcomed along the parade route.

District K Will Light to Unite

 
Vice Mayor Pro Tem Castex-Tatum joins the The National Flag Foundation (NFF) and its partner, the Military Order of the Purple Heart (the only Congressionally Chartered Purple Heart Organization in our Country), in honoring the 240th Anniversary of the Purple Heart Award. On the night of November 11, 2022, the District K Gateways along S. Main/US 90 intersections at Hiram Clarke, S. Post Oak, Chimney Rock, Hillcroft, and Fondren, will be illuminated in purple as we LIGHT TO UNITE. Be sure to check out our District K Gateways!
