The City of Houston’s Housing and Community Development Department (HCDD) needs your input about investing approximately $40 million in federal entitlement grants to improve Houston neighborhoods and quality of life for low- and moderate-income families over the next year. These federal grants include the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), Housing Opportunities for Persons with HIV/AIDS (HOPWA), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). The City’s HCDD staff will present recent outcomes and highlights, review the grant process, and accept citizen comments about the use of this funding to address housing and community development needs in Houston.
