On September 11, H-GAC recognized thirty-three new Clean Air Champions for Commuters and Fleet at its 2014 Clean Air Action “Best in Motion” Leadership Awards Program. H-GAC also presented six Commute Solutions Awards and four Air Quality Leadership Awards to companies and local governments.

Two organizations received high honors:

  • Cousins Properties, Inc. received the 2014 Best Management District Partner Award for their outstanding efforts and contributions in Greenway Plaza to provide alternative transportation options and sustainable environmental contributions.
  • Fort Bend County received the 2014 Best All-Around Clean Air Leadership Award for their leadership and commitment to supporting air quality initiatives and implementing Voluntary Mobile Emissions Reduction Programs (VMEPs.)
