On Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. Council Member Larry Green, other elected officials and the community turned out to dedicate Wild Heather Park, 14900 White Heather Dr., 77053.

Council Member Green said that he “was thrilled this park project has finally been completed. The District K constituents within the Hiram Clarke community have advocated for better park improvements at Wild Heather Park for years. Through continually working with the District K council office, this community’s persistence has been heard.”

This construction project consisted of site clearing; site utilities, grading, and drainage; construction of new concrete walkways and trails with lighting (outer loop trail measures ½ mile); new splash-pad; new playground and exercise equipment; new site furnishings; new pavilion; landscaping and irrigation. The total project cost was $1,663,016.00 and included design and construction.

“This NEW Wild Heather Park will offer this greater Hiram Clarke community the comforts seen in other renovated parks across the Houston landscape.”
