There comes a time in everyone’s life when he or she needs to take a stand. Alexander Hamilton said, “Those who stand for nothing fall for anything.”
I have found that many people claim to stand for ideals, beliefs, etc.; however when they are really asked to do something, there is no action. They find a number of excuses as to why they cannot do whatever it is. They pay “lip service” to their ideal and beliefs. In essence, they lie to themselves and to those around them.
There are two categories of people: talkers and doers. Those that are doers have made the world a better place. My grandmother used to say, “Nothing beats a failure but a try.” If you never try, you are doomed to fail.
Think about it. What do you stand for? Are you willing to stand up for your beliefs or are you just going with the flow?
