It’s been five years already? How the time has flown by. Last month, the Westbury Community Garden celebrated their 5th anniversary as a community gathering place.
Located at 12581 Dunlap, at the southern edge of the Westbury residential and surrounding a large apartment complex, the Westbury Community Garden has been used as both an educational tool, teaching children from neighboring schools about gardening and a community gathering spot for those interested in growing their own produce. Founded in 2010, the Westbury Community Garden consists of garden beds, numerous fruit trees, a composting area, and a covered pavilion. This gathering place continues to strengthen the neighborhood bond between Westbury and the surrounding community.
