Join the UTHealth Stroke Team to STOMP OUT STROKE in Houston on Saturday, May 2nd, 9am-3pm at Discovery Green! This is a family friendly event, open to the public with free admission featuring stroke & brain education, free health screenings including carotid doppler, EKG, blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, bone density, BMI, screening for fall risk, stroke risk, memory impairment and obstructive sleep apnea, fitness and nutrition education, Q&A sessions with stroke physicians, nurses, pharmacists, therapists and family friendly entertainment, music and food. Check out the Mobile Stroke Unit- the first emergency vehicle designed to treat stroke patients in the US!
Family fun includes live ice sculpting by Reverend Butter, performances by Dance of Asian America, Ballet Folklorico Azteca de Houston, Break Free Community Center, Origami by Kyle Fu, appearances by CLUTCH, BOOM92, Majic 102.1, face painting, balloon art, bubble fun, giveaways, lunch for the first 500 participants & Door Prizes every 30 minutes.
