Join the Fair Housing & Hurricane Season Preparedness Outreach Grant Introduction Workshop
The Housing and Community Development Department is working to better equip our community with hurricane preparedness information. We are looking to partner with community advocates, including non-profit organizations to provide outreach, education, and promote fair housing and hurricane preparedness to reduce barriers to fair housing across our community.
This program connects hurricane preparedness and fair housing information to lessen the impact of storms on communities at higher risk for experiencing housing discrimination. Selected applicants will receive up to $10,000 of grant funding to complete their work.
Register now to attend the virtual Fair Housing & Hurricane Season Preparedness Outreach Grant Introduction Workshop.
The objectives of the workshop are:
1. To increase knowledge and awareness of the Hurricane Preparedness Outreach funding opportunity.
2. To review the grant requirements and what will be considered when applications are reviewed.
3. To increase awareness of resources that are available to residents throughout hurricane season.
The workshop will be live, allowing participants to ask questions. If you are unable to attend, a recording will be uploaded to the website following the event.
