On Saturday, January 21 the Five Corners District, City Council District K, Council Member Larry Green, Trees for Houston and Houston Parks Board sponsored a tree planting event to celebrate Arbor Day in the community. Residents and business from all over Five Corners gathered together to plant tress along Sims Bayou. This event is a part of the District beautification program and supports Council Member Green’s – Klean and Green campaign to help beautify our community. Dear Red Crossers, Over the past 24 hours we’ve experience severe weather across the Greater Houston area. Currently we have a number of road closures, effected highways and luckily minimal structure damage. The unfortunate part of this storm is we are expecting more rain over the next 24 hours.
