Solid Waste Management Department Kicks Off 3rd Annual “Growing Up Recycling” Cart Decorating Contest

The City of Houston's Solid Waste Management Department and Human Resources Department have joined forces for the third year in a row to challenge 15 local Houston high schools to decorate green, 96-gallon recycling carts with recycled materials and art supplies in the "Growing Up Recycling" cart decorating contest. The theme of the contest is limited to the first 15 middle and high schools that register. Carts should be decorated in a recycling or environmental theme.
